How do I edit a page?

  1. Log on to CMS.
  2. Navigate to the page you want to edit.
  3. Click the area you want to edit on the page.
  4. The wysiwyg editor will launch if the area you clicked is an editable region.
  5. You can use the editor to change the content as needed. You can publish the page to replace the current version with the new edited version of the page, or you can save the edited version as a draft so that you can complete edits at a future date, or share the draft with others for approval.

How do I add a new page?

  1. Log on to CMS.
  2. Click Manage Site in the CMS tool bar.
  3. In the new window displayed, you'll see a list of directories and pages on the left and the list of drop down menu items listed on the right.
  4. Locate the directory where you want to add the new page in the list on the left side of the window.
  5. Locate a page to copy.
  6. Right click the page you want to copy and select "Copy as New Page" from the options displayed.
  7. Add a Page Title and Page Name for the new page and click Save. The page title is displayed in the top of browser windows. Page Titles are very important when optimizing websites for search engines. Give the page a title containing descriptive keywords representative of the content found on the page.
  8. Right click on the new page and select "Navigate To".
  9. Now you can edit the new page, inserting new text and images as needed.
  10. The menu on your website will not include a link to the new page until you add the new page to the menu. Click here to learn how to manage the menu.

  2. Click the Drafts button in the CMS tool bar to display a list of drafts.
  3. Click the draft you wish to share with a colleague.
  4. Copy the address in your browser window and send the link to the page to your colleague.

How do I insert an image?

  1. Log on to CMS and navigate to the page where you want to insert an image.
  2. Click the editable region to launch the WYSIWYG editor.
  3. Click in the area of the page where you want to insert an image.
  4. Click the image icon in the editor tool bar.
  5. Click the icon to the right of the Image URL field to browse images available on the server.
  6. Click on a folder displayed in the image browser window to upload a new image from your desktop.
  7. Click select to place the image on the page.
  8. Click the Apperance tab at the top of the image editor window to modify the appearance of the image. This feature will allow you to control the size of the image, whether the image is displayed with a border, and the alignment of the image in relation to the text displayed on the page.

How do I control the placement of an image?

  1. Log on to CMS and navigate to the page containing the image you want to modify.
  2. Click the editable region of the page to launch the WYSIWYG editor.
  3. Right click the image you wish to modify and click Insert/edit image from the options displayed to launch the image editor.
  4. You may also click and drag the image or right click the image and select various options for alignment to change its position on the page.

How do I insert a YouTube video?

  1. Copy the embedd code from YouTube for the video you want to insert on your web page.
  2. Log on to CMS and locate the page where you want to insert the video.
  3. Click the editable region of the web page to launch the WYSIWYG editor.
  4. Click the html button in the editor tool bar to edit the HTML code.
  5. Click in the area where you want to display the YouTube video in the HTML code and paste the YouTube embed code.

How do I add a link to a page in the drop down menu?

  1. Log on to CMS.
  2. Click Manage Site from the CMS tool bar.
  3. Locate the page you want to link to from the website menu on the left side of the Manage Site window.
  4. Click and drag the page to the area where you want the link to appear in the menu displayed on the right side of the Manage Site window.
  5. Click Publish to update the menu.
